1.
AWARI- (the fruitful search) Almost an
experimental dramatic-monologue. The piece was
specially made for 'NORDICA' a IVF clinic in Lagos, through the story they try
to create awareness of IVF and urge people who have had their success story
through IVF to speak up and tell others who are presently going through the
pain of infertility and also to stop the stigmatization. This piece uses a
technique which I will best describe as the narrative technique/realism to
convey the message of this piece to the audience. The cast are not left out in this;
they individually played a great role by entering into the character to convey
deep emotions and actions to the audience.
The piece had a subtle tone of mood and emotion the director achieved
this mood by employing sweet , subtle music using a guitarist and a violinist
to help build the mood of the piece.
2. FOIA-

3.
ADULAWO- (the black race) is a dance-theatre piece which creatively and
artistically discusses and portrays the challenges; problems, day to day
activities, occupation, culture/tradition, and general way of life of the black
people using Nigeria as it focus point. It’s a total theatre piece with an
infusion of poetry, dance, drama, drums, chants and songs to create an excitingly
new but contemporary performance art which would be acceptable by global
audience of different age groups. Here, we portray hope for Africa but in other
not to shatter it the youths should find a way to empower themselves
materially, physically and intellectually. It symbolically and creatively
projects African culture. For this reason we laid more emphasis on the use of
physical theatre, that is, the use of body language, dance, expressions, songs
and chants(from different tribes in Nigeria/Ghana/south Africa and sierra
Leone) and a little of poetry in its explication which was composed by the
company.

10. TALKING
DRUM-(a metamorphosis)………The
romance of poetry and music. Rhythmically
conveys a break in the human nature which makes all men different. From the
blacks, whites, coloured and people of different races. The performance employs
the use of total African music to justify dualities, individualities and the
philosophy that every race stands for. To us, music today is a universal
language and we believe our message to the blind, deaf, or cripple would leave
a lasting tune in their minds just as it does to us all when we watch Indian
movies, enjoying it without hearing a bit of their language. The talking drum
pictures the ‘DRUM’ as ‘LIFE’ itself
which all men must pass through and its
‘SOUND’ or ‘RHYTHM’ that must be danced to in the market called Life. And
‘TALKING’ here, means the sad, bitter and sweet story of ‘LIFE’ which must be told…the
performance has been cooked with ingredients like poetry, dance and creative
instrumentation. 2013
