‘FOOL’S DAY’

a stage play

written by
Olufemi Oke and directed by Joshua Alabi.

This rib-cracking play encapsulates the decadence in the family over the years in our contemporary societies. It is a dramatic survey especially on the Nigerian family prevalent in these times. The play tries to examine dramatically the resultant effect of parent’s non-nonchalant attitude towards their children’s affairs outside the home. Though a COMEDY, this play touches serious issues that parents could face when all they do is provide for their children’s needs and believe all is well. The family is the nucleus of every society and this means that, if the family is not well taken care of and structured in a way to improve the societal moral and human sanctity, then chaos would be the order of the day. A certain Chief and his wife are faced with the discovery of their children and house-helps wayward lifestyle on a day they least expect and.... (This is thrilling, See the show)
When chaos thrives in the nucleus of the society, then everyone is left at the mercy of fate.
